Violet found an amazing home thanks to Rescue Me. I really thought she would be hard to place because of how fearful she was with new people. But when she met her new family she wasn't afraid at all. She fit right in and made herself at home. It's such a relief to know she is an appropriate home with a family that loves her and will help her heal from her awful past. She is one lucky girl!

Ceasar was adopted the first day I posted him here. I had Ceasar for five months and didn't have any luck finding the right home. The folks who adopted Ceasar sent me their references and sat and talked to us for an hour. AWESOME people! Thank you, Rescue Me!

I posted on Rescue Me for King just hours ago. I received several emails, calls and texts about him. Luckily, the first couple who came to meet him fell in love and they took him home. They were a loving ,patient couple without children. One worked and one was a homemaker. The bonus is that King will have a big built in pool this summer to swim in with his new family. Thank you for letting me post King on your site.

We consider our family one of the lucky ones. We found our baby girl 'Luna' (left) and are going to spoil her rotten. Thank you for hosting Rescue Me! I do think it helps there are too many pets being put to sleep. Anyone who takes the time to read this, please have your pet 'fixed' and think about adopting one that may otherwise be put to sleep without ever having a home of their own. Love, Luna's Family P.S. So happy Luna's sister got adopted the same day too.

When I could no longer give Flo the care she needed I contacted rescues but they were full. I posted Flo on Rescue Me and her new owner responded the same day. We took a week to make the transition and introduce her to her new family. I am so pleased with the process and ease of using the site.

Jordan was with FFDR for just shy of four years. He came into the rescue as a survivor of being a bait dog. He went through intense rehab and became a wonderful dog. Many looked him over because his tail and ears were never docked. Jordan's lifelong wish came true, he found a family and home of his very own. Since the last update from his new family, he is adjusting very well and loving life. Thank you, Rescue Me!

When I saw Khaleesi's picture on Rescue Me, I just knew this was the dog I had been looking for. I lost my red Doberman almost seven years ago. The breed is like none other, they are truly the best family members. I instantly connected to her owner and wanted to her to know that she will be loved by not only by me but my husband and two young children. They have been around big dogs their whole life and when I brought Khaleesi home the love for the new member was so sweet and genuine. Khaleesi has the sweetest personality and a fierce bark. Perfect combination. We will send pictures to her 'birth' family and hope we can make her as happy as they have.

Chili Pepper got posted on Rescue Me and I had received multiple contacts about adopting her. Last week, I was emailed by an individual who lives within 30 minutes of us who was very eager and excited to meet Chili. He had had Doberman's before and was very aware of their temperament and needy disposition. When they came to meet Chili they instantly hit it off proving that this was the high thing to do. Adopting Chili out has been one of the hardest things I have had to do. We still love her immensely, but know that she is not getting the love and attention she needs and she also poses a threat to our young son. Since leaving the house I have gotten frequent updates on Chili Pepper easing my mind that she is in the right place for her to be now. Having this website allowed me to find the best possible home for Chili. I could not bear it to drop her off at a shelter and this process has allowed me to feel more at ease with the decision that we made to find her a new home. Her new owner and I plan to keep in touch and he even said we could visit if we wanted. I am grateful for Rescue Me allowing ME to re-home my beloved dog, as hard as it has been to have her gone, I ultimately know this is what is right for all parties involved.

We recently lost our darling Big Fawn Dobie to a sudden Heart attack. My husband and I are completely torn up over his loss. As we have done four times prior, we looked for a Dobie that needed a home to help distract us from our loss and eventually fill the hole in our hearts a bit. I found Rescue Me while searching and I love how the system works. There are not many Dobie resouces in our area. We found a sweet, little, red female. I believe we were her last chance as she was heading to the pound where she would not have done well. She was extremely fearful when we got her, but she has blossomed into a funny little wiggle butt who adores our male Dobie and her new momma. She is still unsure of my husband, but makes big steps every day. She has learned how to play with toys, run after bunnies and loves snuggling in her fuzzy bed. I think she is enjoying her new life and we are enjoying having her. Rescue Me is an awesome avenue for animals and humans!

I had recently lost my six month old German Shepherd puppy due to a very severe heart murmur and really wasn't looking for another dog or puppy. My husband has an eight year old Doberman who is his service dog, and I figured I'd just wait a while because I couldn't do the puppy thing again for a while. However, I ran into Anna and Amber while I was volunteering at the local humane society. Anna was bringing Amber to get the works - spay, microchip, heartworm test, and vaccinations. Amber was such a sweet, well-mannered girl and she made an impression on me. Anna told me she was up for adoption and told me to go to the Rescue Me website to see about adopting Amber. I did and I am sure Anna probably thought I was the biggest pest about getting together for Amber and Shadow (my husband's dog) to meet to make sure they would get along, etc. Something just told me I really needed this little girl and I was impatient. Amber came to visit and got along great with everyone and so she stayed. She has stolen my heart. This little Dobie girl has just fit right in like she has always been here. She is definitely my Velcro pup. I have the best of both worlds. I have a dog housebroken, well-mannered and already has some basic obedience training and she is also a playful puppy without all the puppy problems. I miss my GSD puppy, but I know he would be happy that Amber came along to fill that void. Everything happens for a reason and I truly believe that Amber was meant to join our family. Thank you Anna and Ashley and Rescue Me!

Because of Rescue Me, I was able to find my Teddy a good home. I was just ready to surrender him to the pound, since I was not able physically to walk or play with him. He was a nice dog and deserved better than I could provide. I am sure that he is being taken care of and is getting exercise. Thank you for your service.

I would like to thank Rescue Me. My family and I adopted 'Charlie', a one year old Doberman, to become a member of our family. The adoption was facilitated by a wonderful man by the name of 'BJ.' BJ is also a veteran of foreign conflict, and really provided me wonderful guidance concerning the benefits and challenges of owning a pet. I have obtained so much enjoyment already from Charlie, walking and loving him daily sets my day up for success. Thanks again!

Azer has a new home. I think she just wanted to be an only child. I have many dogs and always have, but I have seen this behavior before where one dog just decides it's going to be alpha and no other dog can even be in her space. I met the new owner and Azer seemed to like him, she went to a single couple with no children or other dogs. They work different shifts so Azer wouldn't be alone much. She was not a digger, jumper, barker, chewer. They claim she will be in a fenced in yard on a huge farm. I have faith that that is true. I still miss her more than she misses me. Thank you, Rescue Me, for helping me find the right family for Azer.

Rescue Me is a great network of dog lovers to help find any dog a new home. We got our first interest within an hour of posting our little baby, Blue. Within two days, we got a call from another rescue society asking about what they could do to help our search. We talked to a very serious inquiry who ended up taking him home later the same night, but didn't meet for two days. During that entire three day time span, we had offer 30 responses of people wanting to give our little handsome boy a home. The response and pet love on this website is amazing and I look forward to finding our future fur baby on Rescue Me!

Today a couple with children who lost a family dog to old age adopted the puppy we found and posted on Rescue Me. This took no more than two weeks. This is the truly a good way to find a pet or re-home animals.

We drove over four hours to pick up Roxy. She is a very smart and sweet girl, and just the perfect size. She is very lovable, she is exactly what my fiance, Patricia, and I were looking for in size. Roxy seems to be a little stressed out, but I'm sure she will be fine as we have a lot of love and time to give her. I will send pictures as she progresses ,in her new, furever home. I will continue supporting Rescue Me. No animal should ever be neglected- ever. Thank you for posting this very fine princess. -Donald & Patricia

I have been looking for another Dobie since my beloved Jasmine passed away. When I saw the picture of Carter, it was love at first sight and I wasn't disappointed when I met her. My son and I drove half way across the state and her 'mom' drove the same distance from the other side of the state. We spent time getting to know each other and Carter and the rest is history. Carter came from a loving home and fits in perfectly with our family. I plan on keeping her updated on Carter's new life. Thank you Rescue Me for providing this service.

My family is so happy to have adopted Casper. He is adorable! We all loved him before he came home! I found him on Rescue Me when I was looking for a playmate for my Doberman, Ares, who we rescued from a backyard breeder who did not care for him. I read how special Casper was and my heart was touched the poor little pup had been through a lot at such a young age. I just knew it was meant to be Casper is now a part of our family bringing happiness and joy. I encourage anybody who has a heart for animals to adopt from Rescue Me or at least donate to the cause because there are so many special dogs and other animals in need of a forever home. All you have to do is check out the Rescue Me website and your heart will be touched just by reading about the special dogs like me. These animals need our help, please donate or adopt like me. Rescue Me is a good cause. My Casper is a very special Doberman he will be loved, safe and most of all part of a family pack! Thanks a lot, Rescue Me!

I picked Bella up this Sunday, although I had been communicating with the owner for the entire week to make arrangements and to inquire about Bella's habits and needs. She is a sweet dog with humans and cats. I have two cats and the cats are still suspicious, although Bella simply does not care about them. I am sure if they decide to sleep near her, she would let them. She is happy that I have a fenced in backyard. She actually comes inside to 'call' me to go out and play. I gave her her first bath with no problems. She has a few skin rashes that need care, but she is beautiful. Today we had our first morning walk in the neighborhood. I was closely watching her behavior and the surroundings. We had our first encounter with another dog and she proved to be very territorial already, but very controllable. I am sure we will be great companions. Thank you, Rescue Me.

She was adopted by a family that already had one female Doberman Pinscher when we went to visit before the adoption to make sure they were compatible. Her new home is on a farm and it is perfect. Sadie has a high energy level, she was happy to have another dog to play with and have such a large area to explore. Thank you. -James

I live in a poor area and, as such, many stray dogs end up in my yard. I posted this animal because I could not bear to call the city dog pound where he would have been terminated. To my surprise, I got calls within 24 hours. Thank God for sites like this. The man that picked the dog up came from 200miles drive from key west to my location. That action spoke very loud to me. It is an almost four hour drive. Anyway, I'm very happy for the dog and the person that adopted him because the dog is a lovable creature. Thank you Rescue Me for making this possible.

I am truly so happy to find such a fine Doberman (our second) and to be able to adopt him into our home directly through the previous owners. Many rescues impose so many restrictions and have no trust in the ability of a prospective adopter to handle behavior problems or to re-train the new dog thus denying the prospect the chance to even interview, meet the dog or be approved for adoption. I am a dog trainer and though Duke may have some issues, these issues were made very clear on the site and can be addressed appropriately by me with training and proper handling in the home. I don't believe the Duke's issues warranted his euthanasia and we are very happy to have him and that he can continue with his life in a new home. Thank you so much to Rescue Me for helping us to find Duke and give him a new home.

Thank You for this wonderful website! I recently found out that my son tested highly positive for dog dander on his allergy screening. I had no choice but to find my 17 month old Dobe a new home. My son had been fatigued since we got her. I never would have guessed he'd be allergic to dogs. It was a priority for me to get my son back to health as quickly as I can. Through Rescue Me, I found in just two days the perfect home for her. I screened and did background checks on all interested parties. I chose the best home for Karma. It was imperative I find her a forever home. The new owners sent me and my family pictures reassuring us of her happiness and will continue to communicate. Thanks, Rescue Me. You made it possible and bearable to place her.

I just wanted to thank Rescue Me for such a wonderful service to all the loved pets looking for their new homes. My family adopted Maggie and we can't say enough about what a wonderful loving girl she is. Our family, including our Golden Retriever, just absolutely loves her!!!!! The previous owner loved and took great care of her for the first seven years of her life and we can't wait to spend the remainder of her life loving and caring for her. The previous owner and we are remaining in contact with updates on Maggie and she is also going to come visit her from time to time. Again, what a wonderful service and we couldn't be happier finding Maggie.

I had the pleasure of meeting Anita and her son with Nick. Nick is a typical Doberman and usually does not take to strangers immediately. However, he seemed to like Anita and her family right from the start and was comfortable with them within a few minutes. We talked for nearly an hour and Anita had lots of questions for me. This I liked because it usually is a good sign because I am not comfortable with meeting someone who acts like they are in a hurry to leave with your dog. She had two other dogs and if he can get along with them and accept them, I think he will be in the perfect home. Her son likes to go for jogs everyday and he plans to take Nick on a leash with him. Boy how Nick loves to run. I am a 47 year old couch potato so he got walks with me but that was it. I am sure he will enjoy his new home. Thank you, Rescue Me.

We had several inquires about Tara. It was tough to decide who to let her go live with. We decided with a man that had several Dobermans in the past. His present Doberman was getting too old to travel with him (he drives a truck cross country). Tara will be traveling with him. He already sent a picture of the two dogs laying on the couch together, so I guess they have bonded. Thank you so much for Rescue Me. I did not want to give her to just anyone. I think we made the best choice.

Thanks, Rescue Me. My Doberman Pinscher's name is Ranger. The new owner was a Ranger in the military, his SUV has a Ranger sticker on the rear door, he has had four Dobermans since the Vietnam War (the last being three years ago) thus the name Ranger attracted him instantly. It was instant bonding when they met; a real story-book ending. And a win-win situation for they need each other.

Thanks to Rescue Me, Creed found a new home, and our Sasha has a great new companion. One phone call to Lisa and a friendly discussion of our experience with Dobermans and why we were looking for another (Sasha lost a companion this past winter) resulted in an appointment the next day. We made the four and one half hour drive, met with Lisa and Creed, and were accepted by both. Creed made the four and one half hour drive to his new home with no issues. I had Karen and Sasha meet Creed and I outside of Sasha's home territory. After some walking around together, we headed back to the house, and they have gotten along ever since. Creed quickly learned that he can go from inside the house, through a couple of extra large size doggie doors, into the fenced in back yard. He loves exploring his new home, both inside and out. Today, he helped with planning the garden, which was an interesting experience for all of us.

I posted Trumpet on Rescue Me! yesterday, I also posted him on Craigslist. I held out until I could interview the individual who contacted me through Rescue Me! knowing that anyone who was searching this site did their homework and had a love for the breed. I was right! The wonderful family who adopted Trumpet will give him a great home I am sure. They live nearby, asked all the right questions and had his best interest at heart. I was sorry to see Trumpet leave my nest, but I knew he was only with me for a short time while I prepared him for his forever home. His new 'Papa' is a retired Navy Seal, and now works from home. He has a new 'two' legged brother and sister to throw the ball for him, and a beautiful new Mommy to cook for him. I am so happy to have been able to utilize this site to find my friend Trumpet a new home. God Bless Trumpet, his new family, and Rescue Me!

Dani with Wags and Wiggles, found through Rescue Me!, was wonderful. I had been desperately searching for a Doberman to rescue to play with my current 3-year old spayed Doberman I adopted when she was 10-months old. I have my Dobie with me 24/7, but no matter how I try to imitate another dog, I just cant... Tatum was everything and more that Rescue Me! and Dani said she was. She fit right in with my pack at home. We have been home now approximately 15 minutes, and we are already sitting on the couch comfortably watching TV, with me in the middle. A little calm relaxation time so Tatum can be comfortable in her new home. Later, we will go exploring in her new two acre environment. I hope she enjoys chasing rabbits, lizards, and such, as much as her new sister. I can't thank Rescue Me! and Wags and Wiggles enough! I'm even thinking about a third Dobie...

I had several e-mails for Duke. I was really picky as to whom I chose for his new owners. My husband is a Private Investigator and we did background checks with their permission. If they refused, they were not chosen for adoption. Duke was abused in his earlier life and I wanted to be certain that would not happen again for him. I met the adopters Monday pm and it seems like a good home for Duke. I would use Rescue Me! again to find another dog should we decide to find a smaller animal that we could care for. Thank you, Keith and Linda Liden

Sadly, we had to find a home for my father-in-law's dog, an adult Doberman Pinscher, when he passed away. Reges is a big, lovable goof who is great with people and other dogs, but not cats, which is what we have. Reges' size intimidates a lot of people when considering actually adopting him, so we quickly ran out of friends and family to ask. We posted his situation on Rescue Me!, and this turned out to be a great idea! In two days, we had two responses. The first response was a pair of retirees who have had Dobermans for decades and lost a dog recently. They and their surviving dog felt a hole in their lives, and Reges seemed to be a perfect fit. His new family has fifteen acres with a large fenced yard and plenty of time to spend with him. We couldn't have asked for better candidates. I am only sorry that we had to turn the second request away since we only had one dog. Thanks, Rescue Me!

Making the decision to find Jackson a new home was the hardest thing we had to do. We spent months contacting no-kill shelters and rescue groups, only to find disappointment, making us feel even more horrible about surrendering our loved one. After six months of trying... we were back to square one. I contacted another Doberman rescue group, only to learn that they were not going to devote the time and energy needed to find Jackson a forever home. I had viewed the Rescue Me! website several time in our process, and then I gave it a shot. I posted Jackson's picture on a Monday afternoon and to my surprise, I received an email from Maggie the very next day. We spoke several times and set up a time to meet. Our ride was two hours to Bill and Maggie's house... After we arrived, I knew the moment I met Maggie that Jackson would have a good home. He was shy at first, but warmed up quickly when he got to run and chase after a ball in their huge back yard. People ask me was if it hard to leave him, I answer 'Yes!' but I know that he was in good hands, and a very loving home. I want to say 'Thank You' to Rescue Me! for helping me find Jackson his forever home! And, a big 'Thank you' to Bill and Maggie for loving our Jackson!

We are grateful for his gentle love and sweetness. My experience with the staff was wonderful. So grateful to see so many dogs finding loving homes. Thank you all for helping me to find Buddy.      Ruby found her new home today through Rescue Me! A beautiful young family in Conway, Arkansas adopted Ruby along with a four month old lab/mix pup. It is one year ago this month, June, when Ruby was hit by a car and left on the road. After extensive surgery to her rear leg, she was left with a usable but straight leg. Well worth it to save a limb versus amputation. Ruby will be so loved by her new family, we just know it. You are getting a great and loyal girl. Thank you to her new family.      Rescue Me! was extremely helpful. Within 24 hours of posting our girl Maggie on the site, we had five contacts, with the first three within 30 minutes. This is the first time we used any site such as this and found it to be really helpful. As of this very minute we have not made the final decision on who will adopt her but it will be made by the end of today. If I am fortunate enough to conquer this cancer, in a few years we may adopt a new member for the family and will definitely use www.RescueMe.Org ourselves. We will pass the word to anyone who is searching for a pet to adopt. We also would like to thank all who responded to our posting. These people are wonderful for wanting to adopt a pet who needs a good home. We apologize to those we did not choose but feel that the people we will choose, for the way Maggie has lived, will the best choice for her. Thanks to www.RescueMe.Org and to all of you good people who responded.

I am pleased to say that I believe I've found a great home for my Dobie. I have had several inquiries and from what seemed kind and concerned people. The folks with whom he now resides are going to do the surgery for him and they also can spend time walking and playing with him and giving him needed attention. He is the most wonderful guy and I will miss him more than words can express, but loved him enough to want better for him.

We did have Rocky up for a new home, as he was tormenting my little dog Georgie, we did find a very nice new daddy for him, but when he got there they also had more big dogs and he was very very unhappy. That alone made us so upset and we decided that they bring him home to us. We are so glad he came back, it was so heartbreaking to see him go off. Anyway, he is back and very happy, he is such an affectionate dog, as most will know how loving and affectionate dobermans are. I must say that RESCUE ME! is a fabulous site, I would always recommend this to anybody, and so so professional. Thank you so much Jeff Gold, congrats to such a wonderful site. From Brenda Crane

Yes, Nutmeg found a home almost immediately! I just forgot to remove it from the website. It turned out to be a FABULOUS home at that! She lives in upstate New York, has a rescued Boston Bull Terrier that was rescued from a puppy mill and an older siamese cat and a large house in the country and has spent a lot of money on her health care and loves her to death! I'm planning on visiting her shortly and couldn't be more pleased! Thanks so much for your wonderful help! I also got several other lovely calls, but had to turn them down. I'll be more than happy to send a contribution! You provide a terrific service for needy animals everywhere! Melinda

Jeff, I had an overwhelming number of interested families. I was very pleased to see so many people cared. I have one candidate that my husband and I really liked. He is coming up on Saturday to meet and take Porter home. If that doesn't work out there is another women interested in him as well. I am so happy to know that he will be going somewhere that he will be loved and that the owners know, he is a big dog and welcoming him into their home. I thought it was going to be very hard to find a 105lbs, inside, lapdog a home, but the site made it extremely easy. Thank you for your help. Candace

Hi Jeff, I found your web site by accident while doing a search for Doberman rescue organizations in South Africa. I listed Achilles on your site and I have had about 4 enquires that I know of. This is more than what I have had from any other rescue organization I contacted. One of the enquires led to Achilles being adopted. The enquiry was on the same day I listed Achilles. Thank you very much for saving Achilles and for the highly effective service you provide. All the best..... Kind regards Marc Schmidt

Hello Jeff... Thank you for your interest, and thank you so much for having a website for Doberman's. Your website is wonderful. While I was driving to Colorado Springs, my cell phone rang. Since I don't answer while I'm driving, I listened to the voice mail message when I got home, and someone had seen Maggie (Lady Margaret) on your website, and wanted me to call. I told him that I found a home for Maggie, but made the people promise they would call me if, for any reason, it didn't work out. I also told the person who called that I would keep his name and number and call if Maggie still needed a good home. Again, thank you for the work you do. I love my animals dearly, and only want the best for them. Since we'd only had Maggie two months and it wasn't working out, I wanted to be sure to find her a good home. Kind regards, Pam

The first only responded once and the next was from the family who we delivered her to, it was wonderful to be able to take her to her new home and see where she will be living. It gave us the piece of mind she will be well taken care of. I would recommend your site 100%. Thank you for being there. Traci Harrison
