     Ruby found her new home today through Rescue Me! A beautiful young family in Conway, Arkansas adopted Ruby along with a four month old lab/mix pup. It is one year ago this month, June, when Ruby was hit by a car and left on the road. After extensive surgery to her rear leg, she was left with a usable but straight leg. Well worth it to save a limb versus amputation. Ruby will be so loved by her new family, we just know it. You are getting a great and loyal girl. Thank you to her new family.      Humphrey was rescued as a puppy from a family who could not feed him and his five siblings. He would go for days without food. He was rescued along with his brothers and sisters and given all the food they could eat. Humphrey was adopted to a loving family this week.

     Rescue Me! was extremely helpful. Within 24 hours of posting our girl Maggie on the site, we had five contacts, with the first three within 30 minutes. This is the first time we used any site such as this and found it to be really helpful. As of this very minute we have not made the final decision on who will adopt her but it will be made by the end of today. If I am fortunate enough to conquer this cancer, in a few years we may adopt a new member for the family and will definitely use www.RescueMe.Org ourselves. We will pass the word to anyone who is searching for a pet to adopt. We also would like to thank all who responded to our posting. These people are wonderful for wanting to adopt a pet who needs a good home. The folks with whom he now resides are going to do the surgery for him and they also can spend time walking and playing with him and giving him needed attention. He is the most wonderful guy and I will miss him more than words can express, but loved him enough to want better for him.

     Duke found a new home! I received several phone calls and emails regarding families interested in adopting Duke within the first 2 weeks of posting his ad. I even had someone contact me from Maui that was interested! We ended up finding him a home with a young family not very far away from ours.      We did have Rocky up for a new home, as he was tormenting my little dog Georgie, we did find a very nice new daddy for him, but when he got there they also had more big dogs and he was very very unhappy. That alone made us so upset and we decided that they bring him home to us. We are so glad he came back, it was so heartbreaking to see him go off. Anyway, he is back and very happy, he is such an affectionate dog, as most will know how loving and affectionate dobermans are. She lives in upstate New York, has a rescued Boston Bull Terrier that was rescued from a puppy mill and an older siamese cat and a large house in the country and has spent a lot of money on her health care and loves her to death!      Hello Jeff... Thank you for your interest, and thank you so much for having a website for Doberman's. Your website is wonderful. While I was driving to Colorado Springs, my cell phone rang. Since I don't answer while I'm driving, I listened to the voice mail message when I got home, and someone had seen Maggie (Lady Margaret) on your website, and wanted me to call. I told him that I found a home for Maggie, but made the people promise they would call me if, for any reason, it didn't work out. I also told the person who called that I would keep his name and number and call if Maggie still needed a good home. Again, thank you for the work you do.
