Rescue Me ID: 15-08-27-00554Nitro (male)

Doberman Pinscher    Age: Puppy

Nitro is a handsome cropped and docked ball of energy. His owners surrendered him to us because they had too many dogs and not enough time for Nitro. No time for training or housebreaking. He needs a home with someone home most of the time. Nitro is good with kids and other dogs. Throw in his sweet personality and someone is going to be very happy with him. As with all of our dogs, professional basic obedience training is required. It benefits both the dog and you!

Rescue Me ID: 15-08-03-00548Olivia (female)

Doberman Pinscher    Age: Adult

Hi there! My name is Olivia. I am a 5 to 6 year old red cropped and docked female. I am spayed and up to date on my all my vaccinations. I was found as a stray and came to DVDPA from a shelter. No one knows anything about my past but I can't wait to start a new chapter of my life with a family I can call my own. I will need an owner who is Doberman savvy and has time and patience to work with me. I'm really unsure about the world around me so I hope you can help me blossom into a confident girl. Because my history is unknown, I cannot go to a home with children and will need a home with a fenced yard. My foster family also says ... (Read More)that I will do best in a home without other dogs so I can shine and be the only Diva. If you are interested in adopting me, please visit www.DVDPA.org and complete an application. (Less)

I was looking for a new home while staying with the wonderful people at Tazwell ARC in Virginia when I was invited to a shelter fundraising event at Cole Harley-Davidson and met a lovely FDR volunteer. Debra contacted FDR with interest in fostering Alastair if we were able to bring him into our rescue program and we are happy to help when a foster steps up to help a Doberman come into rescue! Alastair is approximately 2 years old, male, black and tan, docked with natural ears, neutered and up to date on vaccinations. We are told this a very loving boy, yes Velcro lol, a real cuddle bug, he is good with cats, young children, lived with toddlers and was tested at the event with many very young children and he also is great with other dogs. Doberman Pinscher    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Dokken is the biggest love bug! He adores his humans, is as Velcro as they come and he wants nothing more than to spend every moment you have right by your side. Dokken has brushed up on his basic commands, he has his sit, down, stay and release in check and he is working on give paw at the moment, and he has made great progress meeting and greeting new people. Dokken needs a fenced in yard, six foot preferred, he's never attempted to jump or dig, however he is an active, tall young male who loves to run like the wind, play ball, chase the squirrels, birds and cats away and Dokken is very curious about people walking, bicycles, children ... (Read More)playing and other dogs. He is housebroken and crate trained, he has done fabulous out of his crate during periods when his humans have to go out. Dokken will need a training home, he is very food motivated, he is lacking socialization and will need continued positive reinforcement. Dokken has asked to be your one and only animal love in your home at this time to settle in and build that bond with you, with your positive direction he would like to be able to play with other dogs one day very soon and he hopes that you will help him with that wish. We are asking for no young children at this time, he is still very much puppy in a young adult body, we wouldn't want to see anyone knocked down, he likes to stand on his hind legs, put his front paws over your arm and lean into you and he gives the biggest hugs! Dokken is also a smiler! He loves to pull back his lips and show off those pearly whites. Please consider opening your heart and home to this diamond in the ruff :)! Animal ID: 2015-007Crosby (male)

Doberman Pinscher Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered

This handsome young gent is in need of a new 'Fureverhome' and we are happy to help. Crosby is a 21 month old mostly Doberman mix (said to be Greyhound but could be Shepherd), he is fully vetted (recently neutered) and we are told has been living in a home with children 11 years and older. Crosby is a happy dog, sweet natured through and through, he will amuse himself with bones and soft chew toys. Crosby dearly loves playing nicely with the female Dobe in the home. Housebroken, and crate trained; he will bark to protest at some point, and immediately quiets to the 'no' command, he then remains quiet. Crosby is a quiet dog, he play barks ... (Read More)occasionally, otherwise, he growls in warning if someone approaches the house. Crosby loves being cuddled. Things we are working on, Crosby jumps up on people and counters, window ledges, furniture, etc. He will immediately get 'off' with the 'no' command, but clearly has not been trained to diminish this behavior. Animal ID: 2014-040Garrett (male)

Doberman Pinscher    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Low Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Heartworm Positive,
 Fearful/Anxious

Garrett came to FDR, Inc. at 13 months old. He is a very handsome black and tan Doberman Pinscher, with a docked tail and natural ears. This young male Doberman and his mother were pulled from the 'Urgent List' at Forrest City Area Humane Society, St. Francis County, Arkansas. We were told that he was found as a stray several times and returned to his owner/breeder, only this time the owner did not want him back. Garrett probably spent most of his time living outdoors; however, he has settled in at his foster home and is not as fearful of humans as the young Dobe we met coming off his transport from Arkansas to Pennsylvania. A great foster ... (Read More)family has definitely made the difference. The transformation has been quite astonishing: Garrett is exploring, running freely in his new fenced in foster yard, and starting to show interest in greeting his family and hanging out with his foster's two male dogs. Garrett will now take treats from our foster's hands, which was something we thought impossible initially. Garrett is beginning to blossom! The right canine brother or sister will be beneficial to Garrett as he finds his place in his new home, and he has asked for no young children please (peaceful is what Garrett likes best). Garrett has been vetted in Arkansas prior to transport, and he did test negative for heartworm and Lyme. He was neutered, had his vaccinations updated, was micro-chipped and began his monthly Heartgard Plus and Frontline Plus preventatives. We again vetted him here in Pennsylvania; his blood panel showed he tested negative for Lyme, but he unfortunately tested positive for heartworm. We have already completed his lengthy and expensive heartworm treatment. Garrett is now a 21-month-old happy, healthy, young Doberman. His x-rays show no permanent damage and his heart size is within the normal parameters. He was also treated with Malaseb shampoo for Giardia and was de-wormed. Garrett is a very sweet boy who will need a patient home with a loving and calm environment, one that will continue to gradually nudge him forward positively. We would like his future family to spend time with Garrett and become a part of his world before he would make the transition into his adoptive home. There is an amazing Doberman here with a big heart just waiting for his chance at life. If you are able to consider opening your heart and home to a rescued Doberman, please send your request for an adoption application to FureverhomesDobermanRescue@outlook.com. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-06-23-00070Rocco (male)

Doberman Pinscher    Age: Young Adult

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hi I'm Rocco, a three-year-old cropped and docked albino male. I came to rescue when my owner moved from Colorado and could no longer keep me because the other dogs I lived with weren't getting along with me. I was very skinny when I was turned over to rescue and also unsure of myself. I gained twenty pounds and feel so much better. I recently saw the vet and he said I am in such good shape that I am ready to find my new home. I go on long walks and play in the yard with my foster mommy. I ride well in a crate in the car, too. My foster mom knows a lot about having an albino Doberman because she had an albino female that lived to be 12. I am ... (Read More)a typical Doberman except for my color! I would do best in a home without any other pets or young children. I love to be with people although it takes me a minute to warm up. I look to my foster mom for reassurance when someone new approaches me. We feel Rocco would make a great companion but he must go with an experienced Doberman owner. No small children and definitely no cats. If you are interested in Rocco you MUST fill out an Adoption Application. (Less)
