Rescue Me ID: 16-01-24-00315Jorah aka Barron (male)

Doberman Pinscher    Age: Young Adult

Hi, I'm Jorah! If you like the strong silent type, I'm your guy. I'm 3 years old and I like peaceful and quiet evenings, cuddled up with my special adult. I'm a formal guy who will bow before I start my happy dance when it's time for our walk. I like to play with other dogs who are about my size, as long as they aren't too bossy (no one likes being bossed around). My foster mom and dad say it's not a good idea for me to be around smaller animals. I love a good ball, but food puzzles are great for a smart boy like me!

Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Wolfgang is not a perfect match for the environment at his fosters home who was hoping to adopt a Doberman, however we have learned what we feel this handsome, seasoned gentleman needs to be happy. We have fully vetted Wolfgang and would like to see him with his 'Fureverhome' soon. We do feel he does need to be your one and only, your one special boy, a home with no children or other animals would be preferred however we are still keeping our options open that he may be able to integrate into a home with the right other canine friend. If you are able to open your heart and your home to a Doberman rescue, have experience with the breed and ... Animal ID: 2014-040Garrett (male)

Doberman Pinscher    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Garrett came to FDR, Inc. at 13 months old. He is a very handsome black and tan Doberman Pinscher, with a docked tail and natural ears. This young male Doberman and his mother were pulled from the 'Urgent List' at Forrest City Area Humane Society, St. Francis County, Arkansas. We were told that he was found as a stray several times and returned to his owner/breeder, only this time the owner did not want him back. Garrett probably spent most of his time living outdoors; however, he has settled in at his foster home and is not as fearful of humans as the young Dobe we met coming off his transport from Arkansas to Pennsylvania. A great foster ... (Read More)family has definitely made the difference. The transformation has been quite astonishing: Garrett is exploring, running freely in his new fenced in foster yard, loves going on hikes and cuddles on the sofa with his foster mom. Garrett has attended multiple rescue events and greeted strangers and taken treats, which was something we thought impossible initially. Garrett is blossoming! The right canine brother or sister will be beneficial to Garrett as he finds his place in his new home, and he has asked for no young children please (peaceful is what Garrett likes best). Garrett has been vetted in Arkansas prior to transport, and he was neutered, had his vaccinations updated, was micro-chipped and began his monthly Heartgard Plus and Frontline Plus preventatives once arriving in Pennsylvania. Garrett is now a 24-month-old happy, healthy, young Doberman. Garrett is a very sweet boy who will need a patient home with a loving and calm environment, one that will continue to gradually nudge him forward positively. There is an amazing Doberman here with a big heart just waiting for his chance at life with adults and a canine companion or two. If you are able to consider opening your heart and home to a rescued Doberman, please visit our website at FureverhomesDobermanRescue.org and click on the Adoption tab to download our Adoption Application PDF to adopt Garrett or one of the many other Dobermans available for adoption at FDR.
