Rescue Me ID: 16-07-27-00682Sancta (female)

Doberman Pinscher Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Cats, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Spayed, Vaccinations Current

I acquired Sancta from a family member back in March. They did not have time for her and she spent most of her time alone in a crate or unsupervised in a fenced yard. She has very little training but knows basic commands and listens well. She is a sweet and loving dog with lots of energy but is poorly socialized. She is cat-aggressive and would do best in a home as the only pet until she could be better socialized. She loves to play fetch, and loves to cuddle and watch TV. I love her very much and wish I could keep her but she does not get along with my two cats and I have no experience with training dogs. She is currently up to date on ... Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

So this Doby walks into a Weim rescue.....actually, it is not a joke. My name is Roho and I am an 8-year-old, red Doberman with natural ears. My Weim brother Max and I came to GLWR when our owner's young children became too much for us to deal with. Shortly after arrival, my friend Max succumbed to cancer. So here I am with a bunch of blue and grey friends that I don't entirely enjoy. While I am grateful that I did not end up at a shelter, I would really like to find a new home of my own. While I am a very nice boy, I do not like other dogs getting in my face. Therefore, I would do best in a home with no other dogs or at the bare minimum ... (Read More)very mellow dogs. I will also need a home with no small children or cats. Can you help a Doby out?? (Less)

lnteresting Doberman Pinscher Trivia Low-Cost Michigan Spay & Neuter Clinics
Doberman Pinschers were first bred by a German tax collector named Louis Doberman. Dobermans are a relatively new breed dating only to the 1860s. Dobermans cannot work in areas where it gets very cold in the winter. White Dobermans share a gene with white tigers and white lions. In rare cases, Dobermans can develop Dancing Dobermans disease, a type of peripheral neuropathy.
