|Animal ID: A484114Scooby (male)|
This animal is available to licensed rescue groups only. Please do not enquire unless with a licensed rescue group. 3 Years old 63 lbs. Scooby is a tall and lean boy. He was dumped out in one of our play yards while we were closed. He can be a little timid and afraid at first. You just need to move slowly with Scooby until he feels comfortable. I've found that treats are a great way to win the affections of this frightened pup. He does prefer that you not hug him tightly. Once he realizes that you mean him no harm, he really opens up and begins to play. We are sure that Scooby has been through a lot with many changes recently. We would love for him to feel secure and safe. Please visit the shelter and meet Scooby.

Just hours away from death, Pretty Priscilla with the funky ears was rescued. She was heartworm positive, but she has had her treatment and is ready to roll to her new home. Priscilla is chipped too! Would be ok with older kids and possibly a boy dog for a friend. Come check her out soon

I have a wonderful male Doberman (5.5 years old, 96 lbs) who is in need of a good loving home. He is up to date on all shots and micro chipped. He has a high energy level and in need of a lot of human interaction and play time. Winston is great with children, same-size dogs and cats. He is not good with small dogs. Due to a difficult family situation, he is not getting the attention he needs with me. I need to find a great home for him where he will be loved and well cared for as much as I care for him. Only SERIOUS INQUIRIES please (you will be screened). If you have never owned a Doberman Pinscher, please do not inquire.

Female, Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever mix, 47.6 lbs., 6 yo., fully vetted, HW Positive. I was turned out on the streets when I became pregnant. The nice people at HART took me in and gave me a safe place to have my pups. My pups have all been adopted and now I hope it is my turn. I am somewhat fearful when I come out of my kennel. I just don't know what to expect. I am told that I am very loving and have attractive qualities. For some reason I don't have any back teeth, so it is important that my food is a mixture of soft and semi-soft food.

This beautifully marked girl is only about 42lbs. with a lean figure, clearly not a pure Rottie. Her tan markings are brindled with black striping, and she has a white mark on her chest that looks like a heart-shaped flower in a triangular vase; yes, I'm serious! Found running back & forth on a busy road at 10:30 at night, in dire jeopardy, we never located the owners or any posters/ads for Missing Dog matching her. She was wearing a fluorescent orange collar but had no tags or chip, and definitely had puppies in the recent past. We think she was used as a breed-mom w/very inadequate attention, as she initially acted fearful of men and was much too thin. It took 2 days to catch her, but she followed us home that first night & hung around the neighborhood. The local school children dropped cheese & lunchmeat pieces for her, and that evening, she returned to them for food; only this time, allowed herself to be caught & petted! She turned out to be housetrained & crate-trained (although she can open most cage doors unless reinforced w/a clip), VERY playful & sweet-natured, and she just adores children, but we'd recommend over age 5 as she can be a little mouthy. Est. about 6yrs old now, she's been spayed, vaxed, wormed, chipped, tested heartworm-negative, on monthly HW & flea/tick preventative. No more pup factory, no more neglect! She needs a warm family w/lots of time to play w/her and exercise her. Now that she's gained some weight where her ribs & backbone no longer protrude, her glossy black coat is just gorgeous & she's the picture of health and stamina--loves to run at top speed w/other playful dogs similar in size. Mainly seems to prefer equal-dominance male dogs. Adoption donation $135 against vet bills, no checks. Leave message on VM at 678-MEOW-NAP [636-9627] or email email@example.com for further info or an application. You'll be **so** happy you brought her cheery, clever nature home!! (Less)

Doberman Pinscher Dogs can make good pets in Georgia if they match your IifestyIe. The Doberman Pinscher is a powerful guard dog. Dobermans are protective, but are not vicious dogs; their reputation for aggression is undeserved. Doberman Pinschers that are properly trained and socialized are very gentle family companions.
