Animal ID: 14041Andrea (female)
Andrea is a young retired mommy and is only about 1 1/2 to 2 years old. She is a medium sized girl and only weighs about 40 pounds. This sweetheart has had a hard life on the streets. She is hesitant to trust people but has learned that people are good and she can trust them. Give her a couple of weeks and she will be such a loyal dog and one of the sweetest babies you will ever find! Oh and she loves to lay around outside while sunbathing or heading to a nearby creek so she would be great as an adventure buddy!

I'm an absolute sweetheart in every way - a cuddler - and like to be with people all the time. I'm very mellow, and love to lay outside and watch the squirrels and enjoy the weather. I also love walks and car rides and people. I'm about 4 years old and am not destructive in the house. No cats for me! I'll be about 70 pounds once I put more weight on. I am up to date on shots, heartworm negative, and neutered. My adoption fee is $195. Email email@example.com about me!

Rescue Me ID: 14-04-24-00138GiirTrude (female)
[Read About Natural Incontinence Care] *** STILL AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION *** 5/16/14 Giir (Grr) is a 6 year old (April 18) female doberman who has many special needs. She was brought up in a loving home from the age of 6 weeks old. She was around humans, and kids limited. She has older, smaller dog sibling, and has one brother cat who is younger and is the only cat she loves. Up until the age of 3.5 she was the best behaved animal there was. She romped at the dog park, she was privately trained at home for basic commands. No issues came of her, she had great dog buddies that she played with. She always was concerned about bikes, skateboards, motorcycles, and small children. She over came the fear of bikes and skateboards after using those as a way to exercise her. She was able to go to work with her owners from time to time and was a happy dog at home. Upon the age of 4 issues starting coming on more and more frequent. She no longer could play with other dogs, at home life was becoming difficult, jealous behavior set in and attacks upon the smaller dog in the family happened more than once over a toy or treats. Everyone was always on high alert as to what move she would next make. She is overly loving and wants to be with you, by you or in your lap at all times. There is just something that triggered around the age of 3.5 that changed her for the worst. She has been on fluoxetine (prozac) for years and that has helped. She has been exercised, but in the last year home life has changed and the owners have split. One took the smaller dog and cat while the other took Giir. Life would be perfect, but the time has come that the owner of Giir has decided that time is no longer available for what is best for Giir. The other owner has taken her back, and with high hopes and goals set in for getting her to adjust to a new living situation there does not to seem to be a good outcome. Giir does have incontinent and it is kept under control with medication. This is common in spayed dobermans over the age of 5. Giir needs a home where she is the only dog, and the owner has experience in dobermans, and the time to spend with her special needs. Is willing and aware that she will not adapt to a new home right away and will take a lot of time. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 13-12-13-00058Jynx (female)
Jynx was brought to us by my son to take care of. We have had her since she was a yr old. She is now 2 & my son is now in prison. We are moving out of state & just can't take her with us. She is a good, gentle girl. She loves to play with other dogs, cats & most of all her owner. VERY protective of those she loves. She's not violent. We walk regularly in the park & if she feels someone may harm me she will bark & growl. Has never bitten anyone, but would if her owner was attacked. Jynx is the perfect dog for a child. Very playful & loyal. She's a medium girl, 35 lbs. Hate to have to get rid of her. She's a very loving girl & deserves an excellent FOREVER home! She's worth it!!! Please contact me for pics. Thanks & have a great holiday:) 513-257-6807 (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 13-09-26-00353Marlene (female)
This beautifully marked girl is only about 42lbs, clearly not a pure Rottie. Her tan markings are brindled with black striping, and she has a white mark on her chest that looks like a heart-shaped flower in a triangular vase; yes, I'm serious! Found running back & forth on a busy road at 10:30 at night, we never located the owners or any posters/ads for Missing Dog matching her. She was wearing a fluorescent orange collar but had no tags or chip, and definitely had puppies in the recent past. We think she was used as a breedmom dog w/very inadequate attention, as she initially acted fearful of men and was much too thin. It took 2 days to catch her, but she followed us home that first night & hung around the neighborhood. The local school children dropped cheese & lunchmeat pieces for her, and that evening, she returned to them for food; only this time, allowed herself to be caught & petted! She turned out to be housetrained & crate-trained, very playful & sweet-natured, and she just adores children, but we'd recommend over 5yrs old as she can be mouthy. The vet thinks she is about 5yrs old. Now she's fixed, vaxed, tested heartworm-negative, wormed, chipped, on monthly HW and flea/tick prevention. No more pup factory, no more neglect! She needs a family w/lots of time to play w/her and exercise her. Now that she's gained some weight where her ribs & backbone no longer protrude, her glossy black coat is just gorgeous & she's the picture of health and stamina--loves to run at top speed w/other playful dogs similar in size. Mainly seems to prefer equal-dominance male dogs. Adoption donation $130 against vet bills, no checks. Call 678-MEOW-NAP or email firstname.lastname@example.org. (Less)

Doberman Pinscher Dogs can make good pets in Georgia if they match your IifestyIe. The Doberman Pinscher is a powerful guard dog. Dobermans are protective, but are not vicious dogs; their reputation for aggression is undeserved. Doberman Pinschers that are properly trained and socialized are very gentle family companions.
