    Drake was unfortunate to have been an unclaimed stray who also had a physical issue - he couldn't walk well or hold his head up- he would lie down when on leash and cry if he was pulled - his back legs were chewed raw - and yet he was such a superb dog that the shelter staff wanted to save his life rather than euthanize him. We agreed to take him on - thinking he was around 5-7 years old and in really bad condition. We thought we'd just feed him and love on him and let him go to the bridge in a week or so. He didn't think so. Judie thought he was wobblers' syndrome- and started him immediately on Prednisone, three days later when he ... (Read More)saw our vet, Drake was walking and holding his head up. So the doc said give him another 2 weeks on the same program .... we did...and Drake did his thing. It's now months later- his leg injuries (probably from nerve irritation from a disc issue in his neck) are healed. His head is held high. He runs like a deer. Likes his play yard friend, Bingo. And now he's ready to go to a real home. He cannot wear a collar with leash. He does well with a harness or a sporn. Sooo- anybody out there who wants this lovely boy?
