Doberman Pinscher    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Belin is a stunning, all natural blue girl with a beautiful coat. She's around one years old, and is a very exuberant pup! She loves to go for runs and chase tennis balls (she's still working on the retrieve/bring back part!!) She's housebroken. She is very curious and is currently working on some basic house and leash manners but she wants to please and is picking up new things quickly. Belin would love to be someone's daily running partner! She would do best in an active household where she gets to either run on a leash or in a really big yard every day. She is also quite agile and would probably make a great agility pup. After a day with ... (Read More)some good exercise there's nothing she likes more than to curl up on the couch next to her people and tuck in for the night. She has done well with a large male dog and we will be testing her with other dogs ASAP. She is learning about cats, currently she likes to sniff the house cat and tries to play with her, sometimes getting a little too excited for the cat's liking, but she is learning and is not at all aggressive with the cat. She is also crate trained. She has not been exposed to children so we don't know how she would do with them. She has been excited and happy to meet all the adults she has been exposed to so far. Because of her exuberance she would probably be best in a family with older children only. Our adoption process consists of application, with references and home visit and a meet and greet. Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Marci is a new girl to us who grew up in a loving home who unfortunately can't keep her any longer. She is 17 months old,Housebroken and crate trained but cannot have bedding in her crate. She tends to eat things she should not when unattended. She has been good with adult and kids, though takes a bit to warm up. She has gone through some obedience training. She is NOT good around small dogs and cats and should not live with another BOSSY PANTS. She wants to control the situation, so a savvy, experienced owner will be best. Rescue Me ID: 16-02-29-00487Esther Gladys (female)

Doberman Pinscher    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

These two highly bonded girls need a home together. Why adopt one dobie when you could have two for the price of one! These two girls are the epitome of why we rescue. Based on information we have, Esther (red) and Gladys(black and rust) were kept in a backyard, bred mercilessly (Esther) and neglected, then turned loose (without Esther's six 8-week-old babies...think = dollar signs) when their ';owner' was evicted. When they came into rescue they were terrified of being indoors, totally not potty trained and were afraid to ask for the very love they so desperately wanted (and deserve!) Fast forward almost a month- Esther now is no longer ... (Read More)afraid of children (she LOVES the five year old in the home), both are 99%t potty trained, and getting better on leashes. They are part of a pack of seven dogs and happy to be inside! While Gladys is still hesitant to seek attention, (she wants it, but is scared of trusting it) we get glimpses of what life will be like for these two. A Sunday basking in the sun. They CRAVE love and give it right back. We are seeking a patient, loving FOREVER home for these two sweet girls. Because we are requiring their placement together, their adoption fee (including all vetting already done) is $300. Potential home must have a secure fence. These girls take a long time to trust and will take some time to understand their new forever home is where they belong. No electric fences and no unfenced acreage. These two ladies LOVE the quiet, non-threatening love of children and are great with other dogs, large/small, male/female. We suspect they would at least chase cats, though they are very sensitive to even the slightest verbal correction. All dogs adopted through Saving Dobermankind are spayed and neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Please email hookedondobies@gmail.com for more information about these wonderful girls! Doberman Pinscher    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Most Cats
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Killian is an approximately one year old all natural red doberman. Killian is the sweetest boy! He has high energy....uh, did we say high energy? Yep, he's active and playful and needs a high energy playmate that can keep up with his shenanigans. He would do best with an active family that can do all the things Colorado mountain life has to offer. He does like his down time, don't get us wrong - he has mastered the art of snuggling! He is good in the kennel or out in the house while supervised. He's protective and extremely loyal, becomes a velcro dog as soon as he's part of your pack. He's a smart boy with lots of potential. He is working ... (Read More)on basic obedience, whistle recall, and enjoying the rescued life. He has gotten along and plays with other large and medium size dogs. He hasn't been tested with small dogs yet, but the guess is he would be okay. He still pretty much ignores cats or wants them to play with them. He is able to be redirected from cats if they don't want to play. Cats and Killan sleep together at night. He now is a velcro Dobie and loves to be with his people including sleeping with them! He has not been around any children as of yet, so is not kid tested. We imagine older kids would be okay. Younger ones are liable to get knocked over during a zoo mix attack! Killian is ready and waiting for his forever home with you! Our adoption process consists of application, with references and home visit and a meet and greet. Doberman Pinscher Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet Brody! He is the epitome of rescue and what we strive to do in animal care. He came to us scared and unsure about the world around him. He is what we love to see the most - progress and success. We love to see them grow - from learning their names, how to integrate and play with other dogs and people in foster homes, and learning what it is like to be loved. Brody is house and kennel trained, though he can get anxious in the kennel, so no blankets during the day, just at night. He does fair (not bad) on a leash, and continues to learn good manners. He can be shy at first meet, but making great progress and it doesn't take long until ... (Read More)he's in your lap seeking love. Brody needs positive reinforcement with no harsh corrections and has done well with basic clicker training. He does well with other dogs (cats unknown), we are asking that he goes to home with a confident, friendly dog. Though he has done well with all humans, we are asking for a home with older children, as we are still working through his fear of fast, unpredictable movements that cause Brody to hide and seek a safe place. Brody is approximately one year of age, up to date on vaccinations and heart worm negative. He is also neutered and microchipped. Our adoption process consists of application, with references and home visit and a meet and greet. Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Paul is a 2 year old, 20 pound, neutered male Black/Tan Miniature Pinscher mix. His shots are UTD, Heartworm negative, microchipped 981020013883960 and taking Heartgard heartworm preventative and Bravecto flea/tick preventative. Paul seems afraid at first, but as soon as you sit down with him, he crawls into your lap and wants hugs and pets! He walks well on leash. He would do better in a home with children 10 years and older. Is still young enough to be trained. Does fine with other dogs his size. He was in a foster home while waiting in Texas with John and Ringo. All 3 dogs came to the ADP together but are not bonded and can be adopted ... (Read More)separately. He was rescued from the streets of Houston and transferred to the Animal Debt Project on 12/16/2015 via another rescue in Houston. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-01-20-00433Hemi (male)

Doberman Pinscher    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hemi is a 4 year old cropped & docked 'every color' dobie. His head is blueish fawn and his ultra-fashionable ombr̩ hair coloring changes at the top of the neck to a beautiful coat that includes black, red, blue & fawn... Truly a work of art! Hemi is an old soul. He loves to play tug & wrestle-mania with his foster sister, but his FAVORITE thing is cuddling on the couch with her or his people. Hemi is currently taking medication for anxiety and will need a very gradual transition into his new home (Denver-based applicants only, please). He has a pretty intense hunting obsession which can interrupt walks or car rides if a critter scurries ... (Read More)past, and also manifests if a squirrel breaches the perimeter in the back yard... we are currently working through that. Hemi needs a home that has a calm environment with no children, cats, or small animals. He must have an experienced doberman owner who is willing to continue training with him. Our adoption process consists of application, with references and home visit and a meet and greet. All animals adopted from us are fully vetted; including sterilization, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test and deworming. Rescue Me ID: 16-01-08-00346Jacqueline (female)

Doberman Pinscher    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Not Good with Cats
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

How is this sweet, pretty girl still here? Jacqueline is estimated to be around 5 years old, and was a former breeder. She is ready for a life of leisure now! If you are looking for the perfect house dog, Jacqueline is the one! She is house broken and can be left out all day and night and is not destructive. Jacqueline loves to play fetch with her toys, and loves tugging with her humans. She is sweet girl and loves to please. She would do best in a home with other somewhat mellow housemates. She will play with her brother in the foster home when her human is around but ignores him for the rest of the time. Jacqueline loves to go for walks: ... (Read More)she will sit for you so you can put her harness on and will dance waiting for you to open the door. She does have a high prey drive so sometimes walks can be challenging if there are a lot of bunnies around. But she is doing better on easy walk harness. Some patience may be needed on walks since she can be distracted by her surroundings and can be protective but your patience is rewarded by seeing her happiness when you return home. She sometimes shows that protection mode in the backyard by barking but will stop when corrected. We don't know how she is with children, but she is sweet and gentle with adults. Our adoption process consists of application, with references and home visit and a meet and greet. All animals adopted from us are fully vetted; including sterilization, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test and deworming. Rescue Me ID: 16-01-08-00330Cougar (male)

Doberman Pinscher    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Everybody meet Cougar. If only he could talk, he probably tell you a very sad story. Cougar is a 10yr old altered 75lb male that found himself at a shelter in Colorado after his owner died. He has spent his entire life living outside. The Vet thinks he may have had more than one trauma in his lifetime. He has an old injured right back leg. He will walk on it and even jogs on it, but for the most part keeps it off the ground when he is not in movement. It has a lot of scars on it. The Vet also thinks he has had some trauma to his head as well. One of his eyes is sunken in a bit and has a "v" shape to his skull. It just adds to his ... (Read More)character and sweetness. Even after all that has happened to him, he is the biggest love bug. He loves to be loved. He will just follow you around or sit/lay at your feet. He doesn't like you out of his sight. He is also crate trained and potty trained. He is good with kids, but would prefer older less rambunctious ones! He has been olay with 2 female dogs after very slow introductions, but would be best as an only dog home. Absolutely no cats. Ironically, Cougar's mission in life is to rid the world of cats! This sweet boy needs a home and a couch to retire on. All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Please contact hookedondobies@gmail.com for more information. (Less)

Doberman Pinscher    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Sarge is a red male adult Doberman with natural ears and a docked tail. He is great boy who was living in the country in Kansas, not a roof over his head. He had previously been evaluated and thought to be blind with tremors...we have seen none of that, and he sees great. He MAY be a bit hard of hearing, but it doesn't slow him down at all! He is great in the house, and is generally good with other animals. He is good with adults and kids, as well. Sarge does want to get out of yards when left unattended, and will dig to 'freedom' but doesn't dig when supervised. He is super mellow and sleeps a lot (of course on a bed or the couch). ... (Read More)He loves his humans, but can be jumpy when around fast moving kids. He gets along with kids and has been around large groups of kids and does great. He's never been tested around babies or toddlers. He does great around his foster sibling, but he tends to be aggressive towards dogs and needs time to get used to them. If introduced slowly and given time, he does fine. He loves cats, but if they run he will chase them. He's pretty good on a leash, but will try to pull if he is allowed to. He knows many commands and is very smart. All our animals are UTD, Sterilized, tested for Heartworm, on preventative and microchipped prior to adoption.
